Your Community, Unwrapped is a partnership between The New York Times and smaller local news outlets to emphasize that what happens close to home matters, sometimes more than what happens on a national or global scale.

Your Community, Unwrapped’s mission is to prioritize local media outlets to get you news that actually pertains to you.

Nahant, Unwrapped - Formats

To start, we produced out of home, geographically promoted New York Times banners, direct mail, and a landing page as our media. In an actual run of the campaign, the ads would be done in collaboration with the smaller local news outlets for the necessary volume specific to each city. We started with Boston because of our familiarity, but this campaign would be extended outwards to more cities, big and small, in the US.
