I like to make our 3am ideas make sense.

<— That’s me, circa 2010

When I was in the third grade I was the weird kid, which like every weird kid, I didn’t realize until years later.

I was into everything nerdy in a pre-MCU world. Minecraft, comic books, iPod Touch, Lego —everything to make me a natural last pick in sports. I thought everyone was into that sort of stuff. Imagine how I felt when I found out there are people who’ve seriously never seen a single Star Wars movie. But despite not understanding, I was happy.

I grew out of that (the social habits, not the nerdy interests) in high school when I discovered creative writing. It became my new outlet. I began to spin a sci-fi story of my own but struggled to translate my ideas to the page where other people could be as excited about my worlds as I was.

Why copywriting then and not creative writing?

Simply put, I like it more. I like to give passionate people a voice. I like to make the nerds understand the excitement of a buzzer beater shot as much as a particularly quick Kessel Run.
